Microsoft has decided not to market its new operating system without a browser in Europe, challenging European antitrust authorities.
Microsoft has finally decided not to launch a special version of Windows 7 in Europe in the not to include any default browser, as announced last week to avoid sanctions over the European antitrust authorities.
“Windows 7 E”, as the version is popularly known, had been welcomed by the EU are optimistic but cautiously, waiting for a new content analysis method. However, that analysis is not necessary since the software ‘without browser’ will not see the light.
Users had also hosted optimistic that the special edition for Europe include a special window, a ‘ballot screen’ that allows to install the software to choose between Internet Explorer or another browser.
In fact there have been many requests to include the possibility that Microsoft not only in the programs distributed in Europe but also in other markets. But now everything is in hot air.
According to Microsoft, has made this decision “because the computer manufacturers have complained that Windows without a browser cause panic with many users.”
