Well, it’s really simple. What you have to do is

• Visit to Add Search Providers to Internet Explorer
• In Web Search choose Google Search click it then accept it
• Now, Bing Search Box is removed and you can enjoy Google Search Box instead of Bing

Using that page to choose Google as your only search engine should change the search window in the upper right search box of IE7/IE8.

If Microsoft has paid your homepage site to put it there I don’t think there is anything you can do about it. You can take a look at your user settings for that site (ie user account) and see if they will allow you to change it.

First goto your Internet Explorer, if your browser site default appear  as Bing.com immediately it mean that you need to change this default engine.  If you are not directed to Bing after searching from your search bar then skip to the next part of this guide.

On the main menu, select Tools and then Internet Options.

In the highlighted box you will see that your home page has been set to http://www.bing.com, simply change that to your desired engine and hit OK.  Now if you need to change the default engine for your search bar, click the drop down arrow next to the magnifying glass and you should see Google in that drop down list.  If not, you will have to hit “Find more providers…” and select it from the page you are presented with.

That’s all there is to it, you are now free of Bing!
