Microsoft to ‘Bing’ search engine continues to gain market share against industry leader throughout the world, Google. However, the recent death of pop superstar Michael Jackson has made some wary of Google users Bing out well.

Bing officially inaugurated on June 3, taking over what was originally Microsoft ‘Live Search’ market share. However, after a month on the Web, Bing has slightly increased its share of 7.81% of all United States-based searches to 8.23%.

Microsoft has aggressively marketed Bing, to launch a storm of publicity on television and online. Microsoft also beat Google to search “tweets” from Twitter users, the site microbloging that has gained popularity for its ability to break the trend of online news.

However, following the death of Michael Jackson, Bing search result of the architecture can not keep up with public demand for instant news.

“In most reports, Bing did not deliver the best experience for our customers tmZ sent shortly after the news on his blog,” Bing senior product planner Jacquelyn Krones said. “As search engine Journal pointed out, we had the story but is hidden in the bottom of the homepage and even more in our xRank result.”
