Apple may have turned its nose up at NETBOOK market, but that does not ignore the contact gap between $ 400 iPod (32GB) and $ 1000 MacBook. The analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray believes that Cupertino launch a touchscreen tablet, having priced in the range of $ 500 to $ 700 in the first half of 2010.
Apple tablet coming to represent in 2010?
Rumors of the iPod-like tablet were swirling for months, with some speculating that Apple is developing a large-screen iPod touch-say, the 7 – to 9-touchscreen-inch device that are large enough to HD movies and maybe one apps desktop model. Such a device would provide a better gaming experience than the iPod touch too.
But please do not call NETBOOK, a business-class laptop locker that Apple execs dissed as “junky.”
There is no smoking gun in the last report, but it is obvious as is applied to something. As reported by CNN, ferret Munster led him to conclude that Apple marks on the tablet is only months away.
The signs include: The recent interest for Apple’s chip designers, including the acquisition of the PA with low power integrated circuits manufacturer of semi a year ago; Efforts Apple ’s add multi-touch devices at its core products, including iPods, iPhones, and Macs, and Apple is quintessential to differentiate in a market established. (Think iPod, iPhones, Macs, etc.).
Obviously, the evidence of Munster is quite thin. But when combined with other reports, including one of the commercial Chinese-language show WINTEK Taiwan-based panels will soon provide for a contact subnote next Apple tablet touch screen seems very possible.
One thing is for sure: Apple mark on tablet subnote, or whatever you want to call it, not copy the successful formula-so-little remarkable NETBOOK a laptop with a shrunken keyboard to close and a tiny screen.
There is certainly a market for a portable multimedia reproducer larger than the iPod touch, iPhone or other smartphones. But what people do they pay such a device? If Apple’s sweet spot is $ 700, the compressed alleged would need some communications and wireless tools robust productivity too.
